What is an LMS?

Many instructors use a Learning Management System (LMS) for activities such as maintaining a gradebook, providing online course content, conducting online quizzes and examinations, and more. For the past few years, UC San Diego depended on TritonEd (powered by BlackBoard) as its LMS. However, TritonEd will be replaced by Canvas (powered by Instructure).
